Making Outbound Calling work for you is not difficult, but it does require some preparation and planning. Let's talk about a few quick things you can do to get ready for making calls.

Preparing to Make Outbound Calls

Just as preparation is key for making sales, it's essential for Outbound Calling. Always make sure you know the following before hopping on a call:

  • What's my goal for making calls today? It's great to have a goal in mind before you start calling. Are you trying to get customers in the door today, or make appointments for your slow day next week? What sales goals are you trying to meet? Is it to increase your monthly payments, sell additional accessories, both?

  • What promos can I offer my customers to get them in the store? Make sure you're familiar with all national promos and store offers so your pitch goes off without a hitch!

  • What's your schedule for the next week? Know when you're working so you can make appointments for your customers to come see you!

Planning to Make Outbound Calls

Now that you've done your prep work, it's time to make a game plan. Your plan of attack should include the following:

  • Time that you're going to make calls. Schedule time in your day to make calls based on your daily goals.

  • Priority of customers. Which customer attributes will help you hit your goals? Prioritize these customers each day.

  • Plan for 2nd and 3rd attempts. Don't give up on an unanswered call. Work 2nd and 3rd attempts into your calling priorities.

What prep and planning tips do you have to share? We'd love to hear them! Let us know by sending us a message!
